Kevin serves as an Accountant at The J Group, LLC, where he supports the firm’s accounting operations with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity. He contributes to financial reporting, general ledger management, accounts payable, payroll processing, and audit support, helping ensure the firm’s financial systems operate efficiently and in alignment with best practices.
Prior to joining the firm, Kevin managed full-cycle accounts payable functions, including vendor relations, subcontractor billing reconciliations, invoice processing, and electronic payments for a large construction firm. He is well versed in Positive Pay procedures, lien waivers, expense reimbursements, financial reporting, and annual 1099 preparation. Kevin also has vast experience in processing weekly payroll and working directly with external auditors by compiling documentation and maintaining audit readiness.
Kevin's professional background also includes a tax return preparation, as well as experience as an electrician apprenticeship that strengthened his technical problem-solving skills, operational discipline, and teamwork. His experience in retail sales, helped develop his strengths in inventory management and employee training, and customer service skills—foundational strengths that continue to inform his accounting work.
Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of New Orleans. He is proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, Foundation Software, and QuickBooks. Fluent in Spanish, Kevin is recognized for his attention to detail, organizational strength, and ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
